Join Rose Keyes of True Heart Yoga Studio for an in-depth workshop focused on unlocking restrictions and restoring mobility in the feet, hips, and shoulders. Throughout the workshop we will utilize a variety of poses that incorporate gravity, one’s own body weight, and props - like bolsters and straps - to target restrictions deep within the joints. This style of yoga takes a therapeutic approach to movement, and is especially beneficial for people experiencing chronic pain, depression/anxiety, hormonal issues, or who are in recovery from injuries. Workshop Description January 17: Feet and Hips In this session we will focus on exploring mobility and unlocking restrictions in the plantar girdle. Our feet are our foundation. They control the way we move through the world and are intimately connected with the balance center in our brain. Through focused attention on the feet, toes and ankles we’ll begin to regain some of our lost mobility, while familiarizing ourselves with those restricted places that need a little extra attention. January 18: Hips and Shoulders In this session we will focus on both the pelvic girdle and shoulder girdle. We’ll explore range of motion in the hips, and engage in poses that both open and strengthen the pelvic girdle area. Many of us tend to carry stress and tension in our shoulders, and the shoulder girdle portion of class will help us pinpoint those tight areas while also bringing deep relief to the joints and muscles in the upper back and shoulder area. Additional Details Props (bolsters, straps, blocks) will be available for use, however supplies are somewhat limited, so please bring your own props if you have them. Class Pass Policy • All class pass sales are final. We do not offer refunds or extensions for unused or expired passes. Please be sure to select the pass that best suits your schedule and commitment level. • If a class is canceled by the studio for any reason, students will receive either a full refund for the class or a credit back to their active class pass, depending on their preference. • No-shows or missed classes without prior notice are not eligible for refund or credit. To retain your class credit, please email the studio at least 2 hours before the start time if you cannot attend.
