All Are Welcome

Who We Are

At Middle Path Yoga, we believe yoga is more than poses — it’s a way of life. Inspired by the Buddhist philosophy of the “Middle Way,” we honor the space between extremes. Life isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being present, kind to yourself, and open to growth.

Our studio is a home for everybody, every background, every story. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening a lifelong practice, you’ll find a community that celebrates you as you are — not as you “should” be. We welcome wobbles, laughter, curiosity, and all the beautifully human moments that come with real practice.

Here, yoga meets modern life. We weave timeless wisdom with today’s need for connection, grounding, and resilience. By honoring ancient teachings while embracing inclusivity and authenticity, we create a space where everyone can explore their own middle path, both on and off the mat.

At Middle Path Yoga, you don’t have to strive for some perfect, polished version of yourself. You just have to show up.

Reviews

"These people know what they’re doing, and I’m so glad I found them. I walked in full of noise—and walked out with a layer of tension peeled off and my center glowing brighter. That’s no small feat for me. Middle Path has been what I was searching for.
I’ve done the Spiritual Seeker’s Dilemma (a four-hour workshop with yoga and teaching), an assortment of yoga classes, and even a massage (shoutout to Kori). It’s a welcoming, kind space that offers more than just yoga—it teaches peace. In the body, and in the mind." McCoy, Student

Meet the Team

Ashley C Wines

Ashley Wines first stepped onto a yoga mat at the age of 13, sparking a lifelong relationship with the practice, 17 years to be exact. By 15, she was already sharing yoga informally, teaching a group of young women in a juvenile detention program. In 2016, Ashley embarked on her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training, studying with renowned teachers including “The First Lady of Yoga” Lilias Folan, Katy Knowles, Karina Mirsky, Sue Hunt, and Ayurvedic teacher Katie Silcox. During this time, she began volunteering with Project Yoga, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing yoga to underserved Appalachian communities. She taught in jails, halfway houses, schools, and rehabilitation centers, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of yoga. Ashley deepened her education through studies with Yogarupa Rod Stryker, immersing herself in Yoga Nidra and Tantric philosophy, and spent extended time at the Himalayan Institute learning under yogi master Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. She also began working closely with Buddhist philosopher Sue Hunt in a dedicated 1:1 mentorship that encompassed dharma talks, mantra, meditation, asana, kriya, and advanced tantric philosophy. This experience instilled in her a profound respect for the teacher–student relationship, shaping the personalized 1:1 work she now offers in the Frequency space. In 2020, Ashley earned her 500-hour Yoga Alliance certification and later achieved the highest credential possible, E-RYT 500. She has since taught vinyasa, hatha, yoga nidra, kriya yoga, and non-dualism, and serves as a co-teacher in 300-hour teacher trainings. As a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and the Owner and Creator of Middle Path Yoga Studio, Ashley’s passions lie in guiding 200hr Teacher Trainings, working 1:1 with students and hosting retreats. Yoga did more than shape Ashley’s career—it transformed and saved her life. To her, yoga is comfort, yoga is home, yoga is love.

Ana León

Ana León is a yoga teacher with over 15 years of personal practice. She holds a 200-hour TT in yoga and biomechanics, as well as a 200-hour TT in Yoga Foundations from Krishna Temple, both of which were held in Ecuador. She also participated in early training in Hatha Yoga and Psychophysical Gymnastics through the Gran Fraternidad Universal (G.F.U.). Her deeper studies include over 500 hours of training with the Center for Traditional Yoga Studies, where she had the privilege of learning from Gilles and Valerie Redard, who have more than 40 years of experience in TT in Ecuador and France. Through their multiple trips to India, they studied with important masters such as Krishnamacharya, Krishnamurti, Amma, among others. Gurudji Thavoban, a revered master from the south of India, was Gilles and Valerie's guru, and as a result, he is the foundation of Ana’s yoga lineage as well. In addition to her yoga studies, Ana has received training in both Vipassana and Zazen meditation practices, which continue to inform her approach to mindful movement and inner awareness. Ana has also had the opportunity to meet and learn from respected spiritual teachers including Swami Premananda, Andrei Ram, Ravi Ramoneda, Ma Radha Bharati, and Sri Sadhu Maharaja during a yoga and meditation conference held in Ecuador in 2014. Ana has also explored Ashtanga Yoga through studies with Alexandra Moreano, an authorized teacher by the Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, India. While Ana does not teach Ashtanga, it holds a meaningful place in her personal practice. Ana's teaching is also grounded in a trauma-informed approach, drawn from her work with survivors. She creates a safe, welcoming space for students to explore movement and breath at their own pace, with a focus on mindfulness, self-awareness, and gentle strength-building. With a deep understanding of the body’s wisdom, Ana fosters an environment where healing and growth are always possible. Furthermore, Ana is certified in Reiki, Thai massage, Tui Na Chinese massage and PSYCH-K (technique used to reprogram subconscious beliefs that are limiting the full expression of your potential in life), all of which complement her yoga practice, offering a holistic approach to well-being. Through her work, Ana seeks to help others reconnect with their bodies, heal from past trauma, and experience the transformative power of yoga in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Michelle Greenfield

Inviting students to move towards more stability, relaxation, openness and wholeness, in all layers of their being, I blend my varied yoga background to create experiences that bring mindfulness to movement, to stillness and within nature. Deciding to become a teacher in 2008 came at a time when I felt drawn to deepen the practice that I had started in 1993, with my Iyengar, Integral, and Vinyasa teachers. I felt compelled to share the positive impacts of this practice with others and have been teaching yoga classes in Ohio and Colorado since 2009. I have a diverse background in styles, beginning with Iyengar and adding elements from Sivananda, Integral Yoga, Vinyasa, Kripalu and Kundalini. I have completed over 1000 hours of training, with 500 hours as a Kripalu Yoga Teacher and 500 hours as Radiant Body Yoga teacher. Additional continuing education credits include: Yoga for Athletes with Sage Rountree, Yoga in Action (social justice) with Off the Mat Into the World founders Seane Corn, Suzanne Sterling and Hala Khouri, Trauma Informed Yoga (Hala Khouri), The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (Kia Miller), and Cultivating Self Mastery, Key teachings of the Bhagavad Gita (Kia Miller) In 2025, I graduated from the Meditation and Mindfulness Certification Program offered by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. This 2-year program, encompassing over 175 hours of study, deepened my experience of my own meditation and mindfulness practices and honed my ability to teach others. In 2019, I became a Certified Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and I now guide individuals and groups in mindful outdoor experiences, enabling them to reconnect with the natural world.

Shei Sanchez

Shei Sanchez, RYT 200 Yoga saved Shei’s life. After a chronic illness and autoimmune disorder diagnosis that forced her to reevaluate her life in 2007, Shei intentionally sought ways to heal from within. From this came yoga. After moving to Athens from teaching overseas in southeast Asia, Shei found her yoga community. She trained with Dj Fuller at Seasons Holistic Arts and was introduced in the Hatha tradition with a focus on the philosophy and practice of B.K.S Iyengar. Through the discipline of yoga, Shei continues to cultivate resilience, strength, and ease of presence. She enjoys sharing her practice with others and welcomes all kinds of practitioners, regardless of ability or experience. Students are invited to become more body and mind aware while improving mobility, flexibility, and strength. Her teaching also incorporates mindful breathing to nurture the self and awaken gratitude. Outside of her full time role as Program Officer at the Sisters Health Foundation, Shei teaches at different studios and centers within her community. She has also led sessions for nonprofit organizations who seek to promote health and well-being for the people they serve. Shei believes that yoga is accessible to all as it is "a journey of the self, through the self, and to the self” and by doing so, we are able to better serve others.

Sallie Anglin

Sallie is a yoga teacher, Āyurvedic Health Counselor, bonus mom and lifetime learner. Sallie has a PhD in the humanities and spent twenty years in academia, studying and teaching literature, critical thinking and cultural studies. She eventually made the decision to leave academia and pursue a more balanced yet equally impassioned life centered on yoga, philosophy and wellness. She is an E-RYT 500 with over 20 years of experience teaching yoga. Primarily a vinyasa yoga teacher, she is also a certified Yin Yoga and AIReal Yoga teacher, a Yoga for 12-Step Recovery leader, and a certified Shamatha meditation instructor. She is a co-teacher in multiple teacher training programs, and is currently completing her education as a Yoga Therapist. Sallie approaches most things with an energetic and passionate optimism, and seeks to empower people through compassion, joy and understanding. She believes that yoga has the potential to make a lasting difference in the world. Essentially, yoga can encourage people to make “good trouble” by first becoming intimately present and then engaging with the world in an ethical way. When she is not teaching or practicing yoga, Sallie loves to read and write, crochet, practice her harmonium and create personalized tea mixes. Her favorite pastimes, however, are spending time with her family and her chihuahua-pitbull mix, Rumi.

Kim Jeffers

Kim obtained her RYT-200, 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Yoga Alliance in August 2021. However, her 25 year journey of practicing under a variety of teachers is what has equipped her with an expansive array of approaches and techniques that she weaves into her own daily practice and her teaching. Passionate about making yoga accessible to all, Kim has shared the practice in many forms—offering free classes for seniors, leading chair yoga and outdoor sessions at Ohio University for colleagues and students, and even incorporating yoga into her middle and high school soccer coaching. Whether in a studio, on the field, or in a classroom, Kim loves creating space for others to explore the many benefits of yoga.
